Infants

Our Infant Program

Our infant suite provides the highest quality care in an environment that is designed with the parent and child in mind. While in our care, children are stimulated through music, exercise, outdoor blanket time, facial and verbal mimicking as well as lots of hugs and tickles.

Sign language

Sign language is introduced to infants when they are about 6–7 months old as they begin playing social games and imitating gestures and actions preformed by adults. Research has indicated that babies who sign usually start to talk sooner and develop larger vocabularies.

Safety and health

Safety and health are our top priorities. We have separate rooms for babies, one for young infants and the other for older infants who are more mobile. These rooms give the younger infants a protected environment and provide the older infants the freedom to explore and more opportunities for developmental activities.

Cleanliness

To help maintain the cleanliness of the room, our staff and parents remove their shoes before entering to eliminate outside dirt and debris. We provide each child with a crib, clean sheet, and blanket laundered daily, and a drawer for their personal items. Toys are sanitized as needed throughout the day as well as every evening.

Supplies from Parents

Supplies parents need to provide:

Diapers

Please provide six to seven disposable diapers per day along with any needed diaper cream or powder.

Feeding

a change of clothes and bottles prefilled with formula or mother’s milk. All food and bottles must be labeled with the date prepared as well as the child’s first and last name. A form addressing the infants eating and nutritional needs must be updated monthly to assist our teachers in this ever-changing developmental aspect of your child.

A Hug Above the Rest

We give each child love and attention and provide parents with daily reports on feedings, diapering, and napping. Healthy growth and development is another top priority at Kids ‘R’ Kids. All our caregivers obtain First Aid and CPR training along with many hours of state required education to help ensure your child’s well being.

You will have peace of mind that your child is in good hands at Kids ‘R’ Kids of North Sugar Land.
